Today was Wednesday, and I work from home on Wednesdays. It is a trade off since I am in the office ever Saturday. It’s kind of nice sometimes since it gives me a chance to get caught up on stuff at home while still getting some work done from my home office. And even though I didn’t have to make the long commute into the office this morning, and deal with all the usual stuff around the office, etc.. I am still dead tired.

I haven’t really been getting much sleep lately. For whatever reason I have been having trouble getting to sleep at night. It takes me forever to actually fall asleep once I lay down. Add to that the fact that we have three dogs. One of which is great, she sleeps all night. The other two however are younger, and like to wake my wife and I up at 2, 3, or 4am. It’s not to bad on my wife since she gets up at 4am anyway to get ready for work. But she also goes to bed at like 8-9 o’clock. Me I am up until at the earliest 11 or so. And that’s just before I lay down. It takes me a few hours from there to fall asleep. So, that being said lately I have been running on just a few hours sleep. Last night was no exception, I got a solid 2.5 hours. I really need to find a way to get more sleep before I fall asleep in my truck on the way to or from work soon.

It’s funny, having said all that you’d think I would be trying to reduce the amount of things on my plate. But, alas, I’m not. I spent a good chunk of the day working on getting a podcast off the ground. I have been pushed for a while now to do it. And I blogged earlier about considering it. Well I decided to go ahead and give it a shot. I registered the domain and setup the site (I cheated, I used WordPress with the same theme as my blog). The site is just until I have enough time to build something more robust. The only thing I am really missing now is a co host. I have put the word out there that I am looking. And so far had a few responses, but nothing solid. So I am still looking. So hey, if you might be interested, shoot me an email with the contact link at the top of the page. I have just put out the first episode (sans co host). So I am curious to see how it goes over.

Well that’s all for now, I’m tired, very tired, and need to head to bed and at least try to sleep

I know, I know, odd title for a blog post right? Well here’s the thing, lately I have been getting quite a few people I know, both friends and customers telling me that I should do a podcast. I had honestly not really considered it before, and am not sure if it is something I want to do. The suggestions I have been getting are offering a sort of podcast computer tech support. In other words something like the old Call For Help show used to be on TechTV.

See, not only so I fix computers for a living, but I am always giving support/advise/suggestions/reviews/you name it to friends, family, and clients. And they seem to think that a podcast centering around it would be a good idea. I have actually been fending off these requests for a little while now. But for whatever reason have been giving it more thought the last few days.

Now it’s not so much that I don’t want to do it. It’s mostly that I am not sure I can do it. Not only due to the sake of time, but also the fact that if I was going to do something like that, I really would need a co host of some sort. I just don’t think me reading IM’s, responding to emails, and taking some calls would go over as well, as if there was another personality involved. I mean I have all the tools, as far as audio editing goes, as well as the web hosting, and the technical know how.
